The PipeTrader Blog Community is designed to be a home for pipe carvers, pipe smokers/collectors and retailers to talk about pipes, tobacco and life in general. The intent is to create a portal for the free exchange of information amongst folks who share a common passion.
Since this is currently a free service to members of the PipeTrader community, all we ask is that you not abuse the privilege of posting here. If we catch anyone violating the rules, or even the spirit of the rules, we reserve the right to shut down their blogs.
What Can I Do Here?
- You can post your thoughts and encourage your readers to reply back to you with comments directly in your blog entries.
- Post entries with loads of pictures linking to your favorite pipes or the pipe you've just finished carving. If you want to link to this pipe's entry in the PipeTrader website, all the better!
- You can use common sense and civility when posting and commenting on the postings of others. While debate and criticism are crucial to a free and open discussion, being demeaning, threatening does not.

What Can't I Do Here?
- You may not SPAM! We'd like to keep this blog, and in particular the aggregate feed, free from the types of SPAM Blogs (splogs?) that you find on many of the large free blog providers. That is, don't fill your blog postings with a bunch of random words to attract search engines and sprinkle in relevant links to either paid or sponsored sites.
- Post items for sale in such a way that they bypass the PipeTrader website listing. While this may seem like a form of censorship, it is merely an attempt to prevent people from using their blogs to take revenue away from the PipeTrader website that supports the cost of running these blogs.
