Ever thought to yourself "Gee, I bet I could use that spare acerage and grow a better pipe tobacco than those guys are selling"? I know I haven't.

However, there are probably some of you out there that might find this of interest. I stumbled across this eBook available from EscapeArtist.com (don't ask) entitled "The Cultivators Handbook of Native, Natural Tobacco" recently and it sounded pretty interesting.

The author Bill Drake, who also wrote a series of ebooks on cultivating other "herbs", claims that your average family, on no more than an acre of land it most parts of the world can grow tobacco and earn up to $25,000 per year. Not bad money, depending upon how much work has to go into the cultivation, preparation and marketing of the leaf; and he can show you how to get the seed for free!

The book can be had for a mere $20. I haven't read it so I can't vouch for it but perhaps some of you out there have a few acres they could devote to this and in that case, it might make sense to order it. So, if any of you do grab it, please do let me know as I'd be interested in hearing what you think! Of course, if Mr. Drake is listening, I'll gladly review it for our audience<G>.
