At a multi-estate sale held June 24th in Atlata, a meerschaum pipe (bearing the likeness of the wine god Baccus) was reported by ClickPress to have been sold for $2,310! Wow, we are selling our pipes too cheap...

But seriously, it is amazing that this pipe garnered almost the top return, bested only by his manual Royal typewriter that for less than $500 more. Does this bode well for pipe collecting? Only time will tell I suppose.
